Amputation

Initial consultation and clinical assessment following amputation. We review the referral, wound status, limb shape, pain levels, and functional goals to plan the correct orthotic/prosthetic pathway.

Post-operative Compression Therapy

Compression therapy is introduced early to manage swelling, shape the residual limb, protect healing tissue, and prepare the limb for accurate measurement and future fitting.

Measuring & Casting

We take precise measurements and a cast to capture exact limb geometry. This ensures the device is built for comfort, alignment, and long-term function.

Manufacturing

Your custom device is manufactured in-house using proven fabrication methods and modern materials. This stage includes forming, lamination/thermoplastics, component assembly, and quality checks.

Fitting

We fit the device and fine-tune alignment, comfort, suspension, and pressure distribution. Adjustments are made to ensure stability, confidence, and safe movement from day one.

Gait Training & Rehab

We support you through structured in-house gait training and rehabilitation guidance to improve balance, walking efficiency, endurance, and confidence—progressing as strength and comfort increase. Where appropriate, we can also advise on complementary mobility aids.

Hygiene & Maintenance

We educate you on daily hygiene, liner/skin care, and device maintenance to prevent skin issues, extend device life, and keep performance consistent. Regular follow-ups are scheduled for checks and servicing.

  • Transfemoral prosthesis (above-knee): The knee joint is replaced by a prosthetic knee.
  • Transtibial prosthesis (below-knee): The natural knee is preserved; only the lower leg and foot are replaced.

  • Sockets: Custom-fit interface designed for comfort, stability, and even pressure distribution.
  • Knees (Hydraulic / Mechanical / Microprocessor): Prosthetic knee options matched to your activity level—mechanical for durability and simplicity, hydraulic for smoother swing control, and microprocessor knees for real-time stability, stumble recovery, and more natural gait on varied terrain.
  • Energy-storing feet: Prosthetic feet designed to absorb and return energy with each step, improving efficiency and making walking feel more natural.
  • Adapters: Precision connectors that link components (socket, knee, pylon, foot) and allow alignment adjustments for optimal balance, comfort, and gait performance.

  • Transhumeral (above-elbow): The elbow joint is replaced by a prosthetic elbow.

Types of systems:

  • Body-powered prostheses: Cables and harnesses use body motion to operate the hand or hook.
  • Myoelectric prostheses: Muscle signals drive motors to open/close the hand or move the wrist.

Terminal devices (hands/hooks) support activities of daily living such as:

  • Gripping cutlery, cups, and tools

  • Light work or household activities
