Orthotics
Custom and Off-the-Shelf Orthotic Solutions
Orthotic devices are external supports such as braces, splints, or insoles that help support, align, or correct weak or injured joints, bones, or muscles.
Orthoses can:
- Improve alignment and posture
- Reduce pain
- Support healing after injury or surgery
- Assist with walking and movement
Custom Orthotics
Custom orthoses are made specifically for your body using your measurements and unique anatomy.
Commonly used for:
- Foot deformities or lack of arch support
- Neuromuscular conditions (e.g. muscle weakness, poor control)
- Postural abnormalities (e.g. spinal alignment issues)
Off-the-Shelf Orthotics
These are prefabricated devices that can be adjusted to fit you. Body measurements and sizes remain important to ensure proper support and comfort.
Commonly used for:
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- Sports injuries and injury prevention
